SCOUT @ Quarters D pays tribute to the legendary interior designer David Hicks with Inside the World of David Hicks, an installation featuring the English designer’s emblematic style set within the Scout aesthetic. SCOUT will devote an entire room at their mercantile, located in the renovated historic Officer’s Quarters D at NTC Liberty Station, to the designer’s signature look. The installation will feature Hicks’ bold patterns, vibrant color schemes and signature modern meets antique twist.
Inside the World of David Hicks opens May 1 and will be on view through the end of September. In conjunction with the installation, SCOUT will also be celebrating the second anniversary of its Liberty Station mercantile. Sticking with their theme of traditional wedding anniversary gifts (last year’s was “Paper”), this year’s theme will be “Cotton.” Hicks’ patterned cotton fabrics will be used to cover a variety of surfaces, including furniture, pillows and window coverings. A sophisticated, invite-only cocktail party will be held May 1 to celebrate both the installation opening and the anniversary.
