The Workroom to Offer Design Consulting Including 30/30 Option
Paul Scott Silvera (AKA SCOUT) continues to build upon the successful retail, design and staging business he created in a historic home and garden at the old Naval Training Center. Less than two years after opening, the 5th generation San Diegan and noted designer and home staging announced the opening of The Workroom @ Scout.
This full service design work shop will provide an opportunity for customers and design industry professionals to have 1-1 consultation with SCOUT design experts. The Workroom continues Scout’s commitment to the historic renovation of the former Commanding Officer’s Quarters. He and his team transformed the dining room, bedroom and butler’s panty into a light-filled space that will feature an extensive fabric, paint, furnishings and finishing library of catalogs specially chosen to capture the SCOUT design standards and aesthetic.
Shoppers and visitors will be afforded a glimpse into the design process through glass doors installed to create an open studio. “We want to demystify the design process and provide a look behind the curtain,” explained Silvera. “In addition, we want to make good design accessible to more people.” To that end, SCOUT announced a new Workroom 30/30 program to coincide with the grand opening of the space.
For only $30, customers can schedule a 30-minute design consultation and review. “We’ll provide an opportunity to get second opinions as well as suggestions on color, fabric, finishes and overall design direction. We’ll introducing people to our extensive resource library and guide them through their project,” SCOUT explained. “We encourage people to come in with photos, magazine clippings and get professional input on their ideas and direction.”
